The Laszlo N. Tauber Family Foundation provides grants and strategic support for organizations in the following program areas:
Mental Health
This program supports activities that destigmatize mental health and strengthen the professional capacity of institutions and professionals working towards this goal. We focus on evidence-based research, education, and training.
The Foundation seeks to:
•Advance graduate education and internship programs
•Promote mental health advocacy efforts for the underserved
•Support mental health research
•Support mental health programs and services in Israel
Scientific Research
This program supports research protocols that advance innovative scientific investigation.
The Foundation seeks to:
•Support research directed at elucidating the organization and regulation of complex biological systems
•Support breast cancer research and clinical trials
•Expand public awareness of the link between breast cancer and environmental exposure
Jewish Community
This program enhances and supports Jewish identity and traditions in contemporary times.
The Foundation seeks to:
•Expand opportunities for adult Jewish education
•Support Holocaust education and remembrance
•Promote opportunities for community engagement
Social Justice
This program strives to advance democracy, equality, and justice, with a particular interest in support for the disadvantaged in the United States and Israel.
The Foundation seeks to:
•Promote advocacy efforts for the underserved
•Provide humanitarian support and aid
•Support social and intellectual endeavors that strengthen a just and open society
Special Projects
At the discretion of its trustees, the Foundation supports a number of special projects, including:
